Parking

IMG_0360We recommend you come early — chairs go out by 5:00 PM — while we are unable to reserve seats in advance, we encourage you to stop in before the event, save a seat, and visit one of the drinks or dining choices all around us.

Check out our updated Drinks and Dining section for loads of nearby restaurant recommendations  (Note that the Cafe Monarch is a prix fixe menu, requiring a couple of hours, and quite expensive, so not a good choice before events).

Parking on the street is sometimes possible along First Avenue and Main Street, depending upon the night.

We will check with Arcadia Farms, just east of The Pen, to see if you can park in its lots.
A slightly longer walk south from Fifth Avenue to The Pen enables you to park on the street or in the lot backing up to the canal on its north.

Our parking lot fills up quickly on event nights. There are three handicapped parking spaces.

You can park in the lot north of the bookstore. There are also quite a few places south of the store you can enter off Main Street, just east of the pizza parlor. We will put up cones for busy nights.

AND you may not realize that just to the south on the east side of Goldwater there are two large city lots, also free. The largest is at Second Street by the Scottsdale Artists’ school and is huge. It’s a few minutes walk back north to the store. Cross at the light at Main Street.
