Thank for you staying connected to us. The virtual events and shopping have been inspiring and kept our whole team at work.
Not at work however on Monday May 25, Memorial Day. We will be closed.
But if you care to join me and Martin Walker on Facebook Live at noon our time on Memorial Day we will be talking for a lovely hour about Bruno, Chief of Police, his new investigation in
The Shooting at Chateau Rock and life in lockdown in the Dordogne region of France.
Our copies of Martin’s book come with a postcard photo of his dog, Balzac, doubtless the model for the very dog so loved by Bruno
We miss you and are formulating a plan to reopen for limited browsing. And we intend to hold a limited attendance event in early July. But nothing at the moment is completely certain so we’ll keep updating. We had hoped to welcome you in by Memorial Day but now it’s looking like our target date is June 1. We appreciate your patience.
We have reopened telephone service from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM weekdays, 11AM-5PM Saturdays, Closed on Sundays.
It is only one person answering the phone so you may still need to leave a message for a call back as fast as we can make it.
Please call in for Curbside Pickup, same hours. Please phone in your order. Do not email it. No cash transactions so please be prepared with your CC or give it over the phone so your order is processed and ready to go.
Please use the side door in the breezeway and if more than one of you is there, maintain a safe six foot distance.
The webstore and email operate 24/7
For the best service other than curbside pickup please continue to email firstname.lastname@example.org
As noted before, The Pen has a mostly older (and very wise) staff so we have to be careful about reopening the store for shopping. We will update as we devise the best plan for welcoming but distancing. We don’t want to go forward and then have to back up.
Stay Safe. Keep Reading.
