Nominated for consideration of an Academy Award®, Arizona screenwriter/author Tom Van Dyke has written his first book, A Cowboy Christmas An American Tale.
“A Cowboy Christmas reveals the true American West but goes even further. A man and woman who refuse to let a soaring relationship disappear is a sign of life on earth at its best. Inspiring.” —MICHAEL BLAKE, Author of Dances With Wolves
Screwed on tight, A Cowboy Christmas is a mystical tale of action-packed adventure told with comic wit, igniting the imagination like a wild mustang heading for the moon.
WB, not yet sixteen in 1873 when the West was young, searches for adventure and fortune. Crossing the Mississippi and leaving civilization behind, WB falls in love, only to be abruptly separated by a painful ambush.
Alone—in pursuit of Ginny, WB faces a frontier of unraveled characters and the perils of a landscape bigger than any dream. Flaming arrows, desert storms, gold fever and explosive work in the mines challenge his roam.
Wandering and wondering, WB encounters Sunny, a mysterious stranger who introduces him to the most dangerous, thrilling life of all—Cowboying.
A Cowboy Christmas An American Tale is an inspiring adventure of discovery, strength, character, and romance.
“‘Brush-popping cattle and scouring for mustangs…’ Tom Van Dyke tells a rousing tale of a young man learning how to cowboy and finding the girl of his dreams. I’ve written a good 40 western stories but learned a lot from Tom’s book. It’s good and it moves.”
